Dear Parents: Edmark Vice President Donna Stranger, award-winning software designer and a teacher for twenty years, shares thoughts about the writing process and answer parents' questions.

In Destination: Neighborhood, familiar settings and characters encourage students to write about actual or imagined adventures. They enjoy developing creativity, writing, and communication skills as they explore the Neighborhood and all the people who live there. As they select scenes, choose and animate stickers, write, narrate, add music and record dialogue, their stories, journals, letters, and poems come alive!

Special features include the ability to print stories in color or black and white or play back on screen and easy customization for students of different ages, abilities, and skill levels.

Features: Animate this basketball player and many other stickers with the click of a button! Will your grandparents watch the action from inside or outside their building? It's up to you! Choose photo-realistic people, pets, pizza, and more from the Sticker Picker. Dogs and other stickers automatically grow or shrink as you move them close to you or far away.

• Neighborhood's Edit Screen Create a neighborhood band! Record your own music, sound effects, dialogue, and narration to bring your story to life!
• Neighborhood's View Screen In View Mode, you'll enjoy seeing and hearing each page of your story unfold on-screen.

Print storybooks in color or black and white, or watch them come alive on-screen in View Mode.

Use the Sticker Editor to change a sticker's size and appearance.

Use Text Tools to write and edit text.
