The "Baby Ball" is constructed of durable plastic, approximately 10" in diameter, with a floating 8" large button switch, in the center. By depressing the large button, the child is able to easily interact with the program. The "Baby Ball" comes with a cable which connects to the serial port and a MAC adapter.

Smart Kids Software purchased a limited supply of this product, from the European market, largely due to the "Baby Ball" included. We have been looking for a device to eliminate very young children having to deal with the use of the conventional mouse. The "Baby Ball", when used with "Jump Ahead Baby", a variation of "Jump Start Baby 2000", is a method for a Baby to interact with the computer by pressing or banging on the "Baby Ball".

The only consideration, I saw during my review, was the characters and narrator all spoke with an English (UK) accent. However, for a child under the age of 2 years, this should not be a major problem. All warrantee for this product will be through Smart Kids Software, along with a 30 day satisfaction guarantee.
