Elementary school art teacher are always looking for new ideas for their students. FACES software should be the cornerstone in the classroom for facial draWings. The students and their parents are always helpful for new ideas as well as sparking their teacher's own creativity!

As an example, we begin the school year with draWing. Kindergarten and first grade students learn about draWing themselves with shapes. In second grade, we introduce the concept of overlapping two figures to indicate space. Third grade students learn to draw the human face in proportion. It is in this phase of art in the classroom, that FACES software becomes the basis for the young artists.

Forensic sketch artists and facial composite software has the ability of reproducing a face according to the descriptions of others. You can lecture to the class about the job of facial composite software and police sketch artist and how they don't have the convenience of looking at a photograph. Challenge the students to create a person's face that you describe to them in as much detail as possible. When you are done describing and the students are done developing the composite, show them the photo you were looking at to compare.
